After turning on my computer today, a window opened and informed me that Windows could not start properly, that it was trying to 'fix damage' or 'repair' or something along those lines, and eventually another window popped up, suggesting a system restore. I went with it, and it took about five minutes to process, and then it loaded the main log in screen with the user icons and such. I logged in, to the admin account- which is mine, but the desktop never loaded. It was simply a blank white screen, with nothing but the cursor appearing. I was wondering if there was a way to somehow recover that admin account? I.E get rid of the white screen and have things normal again... The other accounts work just fine (I'm using one now.), it's just the admin one that will not load the desktop. Help?

- Thank you

System restore went back in time. You now have
  • all settings, exe, dll, registry from the date/time you rolled back to
  • all normal documents are still there
White screen, or blank screen? Text cursor on screen (where)? Is it blinking? Or do you mean a mouse pointer?

Blank white screen. The cursor (mouse pointer) is there, I can move my mouse around but there's literally nothing on the screen but a white expanse.

I have no idea what time it went back to... Are you supposed to know where (when) it set it back to...?

Thank you for your help, though.
