How do I reduce RAM usage

Hi all,
I'm new to sevenforum. I hope you all can help me with this problem I have. I have Dell laptop of 2GB ram.
Even though before I start any application my ram goes more than 60%. After when i start using applications (specially Chrome) it goes more than 80%. And also laptop gets damn hot. Earlier CPU usage was also high... thanks to one of the threads on sevenforum I was able to reduce it. I would be very glad if anyone could help me with this issue. ( Sorry for my language. I'm not that fluent in English and IT as well).

First off more or less ram has very little to do with heat.
Second using ram is good that is why its there.
Third if your Dell Laptop #???? was able to have more ram installed that is what I would recommend up to 4 gig with your 32 bit system.

Yes mate like Layback Bear says some specs and run Speccy to have a look at those temps too.
