Something in my computer changed the way that certain files are hidden. I do not have a recent restore point that allow me to reverse the changes; does anyone know of a way to reset the attributes of files and folders to their default settings in Windows 7?

It's not a virus that caused the issue. I think I may have corrupted something with all of the changes that I've made to my computer lately, with installing and uninstalling programs, and changing the Windows theme for better performance.

The fix provided by Layback Bear seems to be a fix for the location of user folders, but I just want to change the attribute.

There are 4 methods provided at the link I posted for changing attributes, I suggested the virus scans because you said "Something"
