Solved How do I restore "Pictures" in the Libraries tab

Hi,
As I was transferring files around on my computer, I deleted the "pictures" portion under libraries. When I click on the folders icon along the task bar on the bottom of my screen to look through my computer for files, the documents, music, and video tabs are coming up under libraries, but not pictures.
In this screen, I right clicked "create new library," but when I do this, it asks me to "include a folder," rather than just letting me copy and paste the picture files I already have organized on my external harddrive. I have all my files backed up on an external harddrive, so I'm not worried about losing the files. I would just like to restore this correctly so that it looks and functions like it always did/used to without extraneous subfolders.

The pictures "library", by default contains the two locations of c:\users\public\Pictures and C:\users\YourUserName\Pictures.
If you create a new library called pictures and include those two folders, it should be back to the way that it was.

Hello Katopia, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I think you meant Pictures library and not tab?

If so, then you might open and check in your Recycle Bin to see if it may still be in it. If so, then you could just easily restore it from here.

If the Pictures library is not in the Recycle Bin, then the tutorial below may be able to help you restore it.
