I am using Windows 7 Ultimate. Recently I face a problem with its speed. I need to setup windows 7 every 10-15 days later. The reason is, the speed of my computer is become slow day by day. My computer is antivirus protected so I guess it is not a problem of virus. Than what is the problem?

Welcome Shondhi,

Your system meets the minimum requirements for Win7 x86. Increasing your memory would help, but that will be tempory too if there is an underlying problem.

Specific operating environment would help. Could you provide output from System Information (msinfo32.exe) and export it to text. When you post the sysinfo, please click on the # sign next to the youtube icon, and paste the report in between the code labels
Code:
This is what the text will look like
it makes it easier to scroll through the report.

Thanks

I'm not sure why performance denegrates over such a short time period, but there are some very good tutorials on this site. See if any in the Performance and Maintenance section help you.

This tutorial in particular might be where you want to start.

msconfig - boot faster and crash less.

1. Click on the Windows 7 start icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.

2. Type msconfig in the search box and then either press enter on your keyboard or double-click on the msconfig program that appears in the search results.

3. Windows 7 will launch Microsoft's System Configuration Utility. Click on the Startup tab.

4. This takes you to a page with a list of "startup items." Startup items are programs that are automatically loaded every time you turn on your computer. Some startup programs are absolutely necessary e.g Anti Virus, others are simply a waste of RAM.

5. Click on the OK button.

6. A message will pop up telling you that you must restart your computer before these changes will take effect. Click on "Restart" and your computer will automatically reboot.

7. That's it! Your computer should now boot faster and crash less.

If you ever want to turn on any of the startup items you disabled with msconfig , just run msconfig again.
