Solved How do I stop Window 7 from making movies out of pictures I upload ?

Then it sounds like what Bree said in post #12 is correct about something called taking Live Photos. You did indicate you turned off Live Photo though. So as a test, if you take a new photo with your phone and then upload that is it still in video format?

It's just one reason why I don't care for the "think different" Apple product ecosystem. An iPhone may be easier for some to use, but that comes at a cost...

Nice find, This particular comment seems to be helpful for the OP. For their existing Live Photos they can use the iPhone to make a still copy that can be uploaded to the PC.

When viewing the Live Photo on your iPhone: tap the share button, tap the duplicate button, then tap Duplicate as Still Photo.

GREAT NEWS F22 Simpilot, I read the link you said. "Why have my photos become videos ?" Apple Community. I did what he said in my I phone in the Camera. And it worked. I have uploaded three new pics and there are NO videos with them.
I am soooooooo happy. It was so irritating to keep getting those videos with every pic I took.
I thank you sir for solving my problem.
I appreciate you and Bree helping me with all the possible ideas that might be causing the videos.
I wish I could help you and Bree some how but, I'm obviously not as computer savvy as you two.
So all I can do is to say I appreciate the help you guys have given me.
I'm sorry I have taken up so much of your time with this videos problem.
I know when there is more than one possible solution you have to keep thinking what else could be the cause.

Go to Control Panel, Default Programs. Select "Associate a file type.................program." What is shown as the default program for .jpg?
