How do you remove recent places shortcut from the desktop?

Hello Harry,

When you right click on the Recent Places icon, do you have a "Delete" option to remove it with?

If not, then download and merge the REG file below, then restart the computer to see if it may be able to
remove this desktop icon for you.

Thanks for your help, but I've managed to remove the recent places from my desktop now opened windows explorer then right clicked on the recent places library folder, and clicked sent to desktop, which then over-ride the version I couldn't delete, it then allowed me to delete the shortcut
