How does one know if their PC comes with WiDI?

Since I can't seem to get my HDMI connection working any time soon, how would one know if their Pc comes with WiDi? I have an Asus Essentio CM1745 with Windows 7 and it was recent buy.

JasonBlake456, from my experience, Widi does not come w/ Win 7. Must be Win 8. You will need external hardware to achieve the same functionality which Widi provides.
What is it you are trying to accomplish?

My Asus laptop came with WiDi and it's Win 7 , it's a few years old though.

Didn't mean for that to happen , i know essentially nothing about computers compared to you guys . I never have used the WiDi capability though.

When i had the laptop apart you can see a big WiDi plug in part on the motherboard , wonder if that could be removed , i don't know i'll just leave it alone.

jonnyhillow, what do mean by big WiDi plug? Was it a socket for something to plug into or was it a chip/module of sort?

From the op's model this seems to be a be a desktop,
Most desktops I've ever seen do not have wifi capabilities so this widi stuff would need a special pci-e card/ usb or otherwise to function or stream :/

I'm thinking one would also need a T.V. or monitor that will except the wifi signal and know what to do with the signal.

I am no expert, but the first thing I learned as to why I can't use WiDi on this particular computer is due to the fact that I am running an AMD processor and WiDi is an Intel product. That said it leaves me to think it is more processor specific than say a PCI add-on board. I currently stream to tv using a wireless multi-function box that is hooked up to my 47" Toshiba which is also my secondary monitor. That box connects to tv via HDMI and does apps like YouTube, Facebook, Netflix and many more for just $40 after rebate. Just fishin' there and I'm not wasting more time on that now and won't waste yours either.

It's a module chip type thing on the right top section of the motherboard closest to the screen .

No desktop , it's an Asus U56e laptop , Intel i5 , it came with WiDi and WiFi , i disabled the WiDi driver just a few months ago since i never use it.

Found the original info for my laptop , i forgot to add, one of the biggest reasons i never used WiDi is i have to buy a Netgear receiver , no way lol.

Most TV's today have wifi and widi capabilities built in. My parents have a couple at there home and I have them set up so Mom can use the TV for her skype and other apps. It's actually pretty cool.
I got my netgear box for $40 after rebate from TigerDirect
