I have an Epson Stylus C88+ that is connected, via USB001, to a computer on our company network that is running Win2K (this is for legacy purposes, as the PC in question operates a laboratory instrument that isn't upward compatible with later Windows systems.) I have it set up to share and can print to it from another Win2K PC (also operating a lab instrument).
My desktop PC is a HP/Compaq dc7800s that is running Windows 7 x64. I'd like to be able to print to the Epson, but I can't get it to operate over the network. It doesn't come up in the initial Add Printer screen. If I browse to it, I can select it but, after checking Windows update, I get a No Driver Found message. I also tried Epson's recommended procedure, but the nearest driver I see on Windows' updated list is for a "C88 Series" which doesn't work. Does anyone know of a solution for my problem?
Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
