I have a lot, but I now use VMs and a hard drive switcher so I try to have different machines or VMs for different tasks, so I dont bloat my main machine up with too much crap and make it slow.

The reason I came here was to get help to solved my now solved problem with the All Programs list not showing any items (the reason was I had too many entries (100++)

). But this topic is very interesting! I have long wondered if it was common to have a lot of apps installed - turns out it's not.

I have two (the with the server) computers in my room - one trash rig (literally - thrown out by my dad's company) running XP and an Acer laptop (Aspire 5739G) I bought in July.

The registry in my (previously) main user on the tower caused Windows to crash, so I have to use a fresh user

(the registry is one factor that made me switch to Linux).
