I have my collection of pictures and videos in folders and store them in C:\DATA\Photos & Videos. Some of the photos and videos need to be rotated so I tried to put one of the sub-folders in the Pictures folder. This folder had both videos (*.avi) and photos (*.jpg). Windows 7 would not let me put that folder in the Pictures folder. One message said something about not being able to share if I did this (I ignored that one) and another message said that a picture in that folder was opened in another app (Windows 7 wouldn't let me ignore that one). I rebooted to make sure it wasn't opened - but I got the same message. I have two questions: 1. How can I get ALL my folders of photos and videos in the Pictures folder so I can use Windows Media Player and 2. Is there another way to rotate a photo or video (without using WMP)?

#1 Use a usb stick to copy and paste photos and videos into the Picture folder.
#2 Once your in Windows Media player can't you edit(rotate) pictures there?

Sorry, but I know that will work but I'd like to know why what I'm doing doesn;t work. It should be the same thing.

In Regards to Rotating Photos (possibly Videos too not sure though) Windows Live Photo Gallery should be able to do it: Windows Live Essentials

What do you want to know that I didn't explain in my first post? I thought I explained everything.
