How to access shares with firewall enabled

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and I have the Microsoft Firewall enabled.

When the firewall is enabled, I can't access any of the shares which are setup. If I disable the firewall, I can access the shares on other computers as well as on my Samsung TV over DLNA.

I'm just wondering, is there a way to keep the firewall enabled and also still be able to access the shares and if so, how?

if you check the radio button "Turn on printer and file sharing" in Advanced sharing settings you should be able to access your shares with an enabled firewall.
