How to backup double-sided mini-DVDs onto regular DVDs?

Hi All!

I have a Sony Camcorder that uses mini-DVDs.

Now, the goal is to make a backup of them. So I made an ISO of the mini-DVD, then, burnt it onto a regular DVD in order to test it. All seems to work fine.

Now, the problem is that I waste 1 regular DVD for 12 mini-DVD. This is not very efficient.

I was wondering if there is a magic to inject 2 mini-DVDs into a regular DVD?

The best, of course would be to have at the end, a DVD menu that points to each mini-dvd files but I have no clue if this is possible.

Thanks a lot in advance for any answers you can give me.

I think this problem can be solved by ripping both mini DVDs and using a piece of software like Windows DVD Maker to put both videos onto the DVD.

You can rip the DVDs using something like Wondershare DVD Ripper Platinum - Best DVD Ripper and DVD Ripping Software or from Free DVD Ripper, Free DVD Ripping software, Free DVD Rip for Mac/PC or another program of your choice.

Then use Windows DVD maker to put them onto a DVD together (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/54090-windows-dvd-maker-how-use.html).

Yeah, that would probably work.

Thanks

Post back if you get it to work.

As you are new to the forum I thought you might like to know how to mark threads as solved as well as the uses of some of the other buttons.

To the top right of this post you will see 3 icons. An orange (+), a set of scales and a red and white warning triangle.

The orange (+) or blue (-) denotes whether a user is on or offline (orange = on, blue = off).

The scales are used to give rep points; click this button if someone has helped you significantly or solved your queries (only give this to posts that you think really deserve it).

The red and white warning triangle is used to denote either an abusive post OR to mark a thread as solved (just put solved in the box that comes up and the admins or moderators will mark it solved).

If you have any more questions please feel free to ask, when you feel the thread is solved do mark it as such.

Thanks,

The problem is that I do not want to rip all my mini-DVDs and then somehow, import them and then re-arrange the menus...

I was trying to find out if a quick and dirty solution would work without re-arranging the menus and all that.

Anyhoo, I will just use my original idea: rip mini-dvd to Iso and then burn iso to new dvd.

Thanks
