Hello mcgoo, welcome to Seven Forums!

Will you please be very specific about what you are asking as it's not at all clear from what you have posted so far.

Also if you are able ...

Before we make any specific recommendations will you please post a snip/screen-shot of the entire disk management drive map with a full description as to which drive/partition is which, so we can see what you have going on as there may be a fairly simple way to resolve the situation.

In the Windows start menu right click computer and click manage, in the left pane of the "Computer Management" window that opens click disk management and post a snip of that.

It boots from the C drive,i previously set the boot screen to show load C or load E with a 4 sec pause if i wanted to change form the default boot which was set at C.
As i said i loaded an image of drive E back to the E drive which was formatted first.
I now ant to make the E drive bootable as well as the C drive.

Have a look to see if EasyBCD will add a boot entry to the Windows boot menu.

Download EasyBCD 2.0.2 - NeoSmart Technologies

After that it would be advisable to mark the E: and G: an "inactive" so they won't cause boot issues in future; we'll discuss that next.

Sorry about the delay.
After installing it did allow me to boot to the other drive, unfortunately it hung saying windows will install your desktop.
I tried several times with the same result,i have now formatted and decided to reinstall from scratch and i will be able to get it up and running from there.
I presume the drive image was somehow corrupted.

thanks for the link which will be usefull
