how to check programs using cpu usage

Hi every1, i want to know how to check what processes are using my cpu because when i check it reaches 50-60% but then it keep fluctuating b/w 25-30%...so what programs & applications are using the cpu?

Hi Deepakumar, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Open Task Manager by right clicking taskbar and choosing it from context menu, or by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESC. Click Show processes from all users (lower left corner).

CPU and Memory columns show the information you want to see.

I suggest you use Security Task Manager which gives a simple and easy to understand presentation of all the programs and processes running on your computer.



You can see what processes are running along with an assessment of what risk they pose.

Want to know if you have malware, run MalwareBytes.

@ karlsnooks i've tried all three but most of the time i'm unable to understand the information given by these applications, that's why i wanted a software that make things little easy for me to understand...normally i run resource monitor once in every 2 months to keep a track of things...but at times certain processes i don't know of & then have to google it...

Google it via Process Explorer

The Process Explorer is easy to use. If you want to see what process is gobbling up your RAM you can just click on the [Working Set] column to sort the processes by memory used. If you don't recognise one of the processes just select the process and right click (or Ctrl+M) and you'll be taken to a googled page.
