How to config my VGA to increase fps

You guys help me. I wanna set optimal setting for my VGA with catalyst control center version 8.861.
My VGA is Asus EAH5670 and this is my computer's configuration
Operating system: Windows 7 ultimate 32bit
Processor:Pentinium Dual-core E6600 3.1 hz
Memory: 2G ram Device: VGA Asus EAH5670 1G

Please help me! and when I play some game like: GTA IV, Mass effect..... It's always lag (maybe decreased fps). So can you show me how to fix it and set my VGA. Thank you!

The shader options in the games is usually he quickest way to gain fps (turning them off)
You should also note that the 5670 isn't exactly a top shelf graphics unit to begin with.
For instance I'll compare it to the 5850 I have in my other machine just to give you an idea.

(down towards the bottom, the memory and texel pixel rates are what really matters.)
regardless though you should be able to play mass effect 2 with it.

Why are you still using catalyst 8?
They are up to 11.2 now.
That could explain why mass effect 2 is giving you trouble.
GTA IV is just very badly ported to pc, and takes way more power than it should to run right.

I use the 5850 as a comparison because I know it's capable of playing all the games you mentioned at fair-good fps.

Here's one of the problems. I'd take it up to 4GB, if I were playing games like that. Games like GTA 4 consume a lot of system memory.

And yeah:

- Upgrade to the latest version of your video driver/ATI Catalyst
- Tweak your in-game settings for a smoother experience
