how to copy DVD in win7 64-bit

DVD Shrink is another app that may or may not be of use. You still haven't said what type of disc it is you are trying to copy. Until you do, we're grasping at straws here. Im not saying that to sound mean. If it is a movie DVD, for example, and has copy protection, there are extra steps involved. If it is a data disc or something that's protection free, then you use BurnAware or something similar, and just make a copy using that option in the software.

Sorry. The DVD is a (fishing techniques) movie; no idea if copy-protection is involved. Just want to make a backup copy. How might I determine that it has copy-protection or not?

DVD Shrink or DVD-Fab will probably work to make you a back-up copy.

Yeah, if you aren't sure, I would use DVDfab to make an .iso file, making sure to choose the option of DVD5, rather than DVD9. That way, the .iso file will fit on a blank DVD. Then fire up BurnAware or whatever you are using as your burning app, and follow the steps to burn an image.

Nero is so bloated. I don't recommend using it. ImgBurn is way better and
is extremely small so it isn't a resource hog.

Since this is getting Google hits:

The modern way is to back up your installers, including DVD/CD's', to Downloads folder. If necessary use ImgBurn to extract ISO. Then when you need the backup burn it to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed.
