Hi 3night...Welcome to the forums...

IMO unless you have a pressing need for the 12gb of disc space, Id leave it there.. Its always good to have a backup just in case....

The minimum I would suggest is that you use any system utility provided by the manufacturer to create a set of recovery disks - You never miss a backup option until you really need it :geek:

I agree with the other two posters. Unless you have a hard copy of a recovery disk I would keep the recovery partition.

While you may never revert back to Vista, if you are purchasing an upgrade disk, you will need to have an activated copy of a prior Microsoft OS on the computer if you ever need to reinstall Windows 7.

To my understanding if you needed to reinstall Windows 7 with an upgrade disk you would need to first go back and reinstall Vista. If you delete that partition and have no recovery disk you will not be able to reinstall Windows 7.

If you however happen to have a retail version of Windows 7 that is not the case. However, if you ever want to sell this computer and use your retail copy on another computer you would need to revert it back to Vista.

Hello 3night,

No, it will not damage your computer by deleting the recovery partitions. It will just remove any chance of being able to do a factory restore from them to your original Vista Home Premium that came with the computer. That's all.

I would recommend to create a set of recovery discs as well from the partiton first in case you ever decide you wanted to restore it back on your computer.

If you still want to delete the recovery partitions, then you can use OPTION ONE in the tutorial below to do so. You will need to delete the EASEUS partition (applications & drivers) twice before it becomes unallocated space though.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2668-partition-volume-delete.html

Afterwards, the two partions will have become unallocated space that you can create a new partition with, or extend the C: partition into if the unallocated space is just to the right of it in Disk Management.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
