How to delete win7 install on boot screen

I had a failed install of win 7, I reinstalled successfully and now have win 7 install and win 7 on my boot screen. How can I delete the win 7 install entry ? The win 7 install does not show up in the elevated command prompt or with Easy BCD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does it show in msconfig > Boot button ? You can delete it there if visible.

no it doesn't show up in msconfig.

Then it is a phantom. Really don't know what to tell you. Did you reboot since then. Sometimes that helps.

Hello John, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if running a Startup Repair may be able to remove or fix the entry. If it fixes it, you may hopefully be able to remove it afterwards.

If nothing else, you should be able to uncheck or change the time to display the OS choices at boot to zero to not see the Windows Boot Manager screen anymore.
