Solved How to delete Windows Updates marked failed

gud pm, i would just like to ask how to delete a windows update marked failed because the internet connection is not stable, i'm only using a usb plug it internet and if the signal is not sufficient the windows update will fail, and when I look at my windows update history there are several updates that are failed.

Hello RommoR,

If you like, you could use OPTION ONE in the tutorial below to clear the Windows Update history list to remove the listed failed updates, but it does also remove all listed updates though.

Nope - it doesn't make any difference to the computer (apart from a very minor storage difference), although it may be aesthetically annoying.
I'd leave well alone

Afraid not. You can only remove all or none of the history list.

thanx, for the reply, problem solved, all logs in the windows update deleted already, but not uninstalled, just followed the tutorial from brink.

Yeah, I poked around and the edb.log is in an ISAM database format and in Windows NT recovery database. I thought if it was a simple file, individual records could be deleted. That would be way too easy. I'll live with the failed entries. There's only about 12.
