How to determine if the problem is GC or insufficient processor?

When the computer starts slowing down and lagging, how do i know if its the graphics card or the cpu? Of course i'm not mentioning the RAM and assuming that I have a decent (PC) RAM installed on the MB.

When the PC is slow and lagging, look in Task Manager and Resource Monitor to see if your CPU is straining and if you are using all of your RAM.

THe other question is, is this the only way to check it? Would it be possible to determine it with out checking other stuff?

You could always guess.

You get to decide if you'd rather guess than actually check with the provided tools. Checking might take 20 seconds. Guessing might take 1 second. The 19 seconds saved might be highly important to you, depending on your schedule.

You could run GPU-Z whilst doing something demanding (gaming, HD video etc), and see if your gfx is maxing out
