Hello All

A friend has a HP EliteBook 850 G3 and keeps getting bothered by the HP Update Agent... does anyone know how to turn this off?

FYI, I ran msconfig as an Administrator and found the following...

Boot Tab: Windows 7

Services Tab: HP Service, HP Support Solutions Framework, HP Hotkey Service, HP Connection Manager 5 Service, and HP Software Framework Service.

Startup Tab: HP 3D DriveGuard, HP Hotkey Support, HP Notifications Application, HP CMDelayStart Application, and Discover HP Touchpoint Manager.

I know in the past that if you ran msconfig on a HP machine you'd find the HP Update Agent under the Services and Boot tabs, but they no longer appear on this new machine.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!
Paul

Hi,
Are you sure it's not listed in uninstall a program
Probably bundled with other stuff and named as support...
Are you getting upgrade to something popups ?

If win-10 popups just disable os upgrades.

Thanks for the reply ThrashZone... after some Googling it seems the HP Support Solutions Framework on the Services Tab is the culprit... I'll disable it or delete it and see it that helps. :)
