How to display IPv4 address at Windows startup ?

I am on a work computer with dynamic IP address (Ipv4), which usually changes when I restart it. Since I sometimes need to use this PC through remote desktop connection at home I like to keep its IP address handy.
But I sometimes forget to check the IP at restart, so is there a batch file or some code which can start up the command prompt and display the IPv4 address every time the computer restarts ? thanks.

sometimes when reading a question I get the feeling that the person posing the question actually is trying to do something a little bit different to what the question actually poses.

For instance it appears that you need to know the IP address since you want to access the machine remotely.

There are several ways to do this -- some of the decent free ones (dyndns) decided to "monetise" --i.e charge and remove the free version however this one is fine.
Free Dynamic DNS - Managed DNS - Managed Email - Domain Registration - No-IP

This will read the IP from your computer at start up and if the ISP has changed it (dynamic IP) then the server will update your IP which you can access any time. It also re-runs at user set intervals to see if your IP address has changed -- if so the server will update to the new address-- some ISP's will change your IP address if you haven't made a web request for a while - even between sessions.

This should allow you to RDP to your remote computer from anywhere and from OUTSIDE your router.

(Note though RDP will only accept INCOMING requests if you are running the PRO version of Windows -- Home Premium editions don't allow INCOMING RDP connections).

Remember also if you use these types of service be sure to Port Forward correctly on your router otherwise you won't be able to get a connection from OUTSIDE. Allow the program through any firewall too. The No-IP documentation is decently clear.

If at work you find the Ports blocked by your workplace (I.e you can't initiate the RDP connection remotely) then use Tunnelling and Putty. To explain this is beyond the scope of the post but you can Google a bit for more info.
