How do I find out what sku a cd key is?

The cd should say whether it is home premium, professional, or ultimate. You could always boot of the cd and choose install now. You may have to click yes once, but it will be on the screen where the Microsoft software license terms are. It will say "Windows 7..."

I had only the cd key, but I found out what sku is (ultimate)


My friend said it was professional (confusion)
