Guys,

I have a little problem and I need ur help. Here's the thing: Few days ago I've tried to re-install Win XP at my friends computer (updated Xp from May 2013 with some optional tools etc.) but the installation itself failed and showed me an error saying "Setup is being restarted" and then reboots computer... Never mind on that, I managed to get in XP somehow again, got win 7 32-bit, installed it, updated few times, "salvaged" all programs and games that were working from XP and everything went fine from that moment. Then I told my friend: "When you turn him on, you will come up with 2 choices > 1. Win 7 OS, and 2. Win XP setup(bugged), and told him to choose win 7"...but what happened next day is that his younger brother didn't know that, and he left windows to automatically choose for him and it turns out that after 30 sec boot chose the setup, and that messed up the THING. And now basically, when I turn on his computer to check, there's no more win 7 OS among the choices, only bugged XP setup... I don't know how to revert back that option so I(he) can get in win 7 OS again..(win can't be deleted, right?!)

Sorry for a bit longer post, you will understand my confusion :)

Hey mate, I am completely sure that this small program would do the trick, but the PROBLEM is that I can no longer get into Windows... Not even via Safe Mode... Every time it just comes up with that installation error
saying: "Error-file not found!" And it gives me a quick look what's missing (presetup.cmd and SetupORG.exe). Believe me, I read about this, but at the time when I tried to install win XP, all files were on the disc, so I couldn't know what was causing the error all over again. Then I've managed to avoid that error by getting in XP via OS choice(XP was still on C:\) and installed win 7 on D:\ so I kinda had dual win boot. But now when win 7 gone from OS boot choice, I can't find a way to get inside windows, but to enter that ridiculous bugged setup which restarts computer after pressing "OK". My plan was to install this small program at least in Safe Mode and configure it to boot win 7 as default, but I can't get inside windows...that error messed helluva everything... Any way to do something else?? Plz answer! ;)

There seems to be a way to run EasyBCD from a USB stick. I have never tried that but here are some skimpy hints how to do that. Since the hints came from Mahmoud (the owner of EasyBCD), I trust it is doable.

But, I wonder how can I run that little program in boot manager, since, as I said before, I can only choose Win XP setup from boot manager(OS choice) and that choice directs me to previously mentioned error, which can only restart computer, nothing else...I even tried entering Safe Mode with other options but also that error self-launched even in Safe Mode...so there's basically nothing that will allow me to enter win and use that program...:(

I really wonder what your disk looks like. Suggest you run the bootable CD of Partition Wizard (last box on the website). Burn this .iso to CD and boot with the CD. Then post a picture of what you see.

Can I then run Easy BCD there or I will have to format something?

EasyBCD is a different matter. With Partition Wizard you can just look at the disks and e.g. find out which disk has the bootmgr and whether that is activated.
