how to get a windows 7 64 bit bios to read a samsung 4tb ssd

Yes, I know, and the win 7 on the other disk may have a problem.
As the disk is blank, why not to give it a try?

Besides being unnecessary, you can't install Win 7 on a GPT disk except from a UEFI BIOS, which the OP doesn't have.

Lady, as you can see, my instructions were to install as Legacy - MBR

- Run a System File Check on a cmd window: sfc /scannow
Report

I understood that that your Laptop has a Legacy - MBR BIOS
Try this:
- Remove the Win 7 disk and replace it by the SSD-
- Boot from the Win 7 installation disk, go to install - advanced - delete all partitions- create new.
- Make sure that the partition is less than 2.2T.
- Install win 7 64.
If it works, your Win 7 on the other disk may have a problem

The OP has already tried many solutions that didn't work. So let me suggest one more.
You have one opinion and you free to express it. So do I.

I will end this private discussion.

I've had [have] a similar problem - BIOS does not read HDD full capacity - FoxConn A7DA-S mobo, but Linux and W7 RTM both DO read full drive capacity - 2 x 8Tb, 1 x 6Tb, 2 x 5Tb...

Never a file corruption problem problem however (knock on wood) ;)

thank you

Ok, one at a time now. First Lady Fitzgerald. I bought it on ebay from a guy who uninstalled it from his computer and got a microsoft case number. I already uploaded it. So far so good and better than before but it did corrupt again. So back to the drawing board. I'll take any advice now.

Shrade-how did you do it? You mentioned Windows 7 but which version and how?

Megahertz- I installed the Windows 7 ultimate so isnt that the same as installing a different windows 7? I'll try it though. I have another ssd drive with windows 7 on it and I'll try to use that to transfer files to the secondary drive.

Thank you to all but I am ready to start trying your ideas. All of yours.
