That's amazing. Must be the most popular tut on the forum. I am jealous - I can only get to a bit over 700K with one of my SSD tuts. LOL

You have a badge that says otherwise. ;)

At 2 am this morning I was in your Macrium tutorial.

I promote mine like a pentecostal preacher because it is a main mission in life. What's astounding is I held off for a year writing it because I was wary, but am still waiting for someone to experience failure doing what was once thought to be a risky venture.

You're apparently not getting that Win7 is a driver-complete OS in the installer and via Windows Updates. As it explains in Clean Reinstall Windows 7 you only need your network driver in the backup so if it isn't provided you can get online to run all Updates. Then after these are all done import the 1-2 drivers still missing still in Device Manager. We can help you with this.

It's amazing that no matter how many times this is explained, some still want to insist that a bunch of drivers need to be found.

I don't know how else to say this... I have special features on my laptop that aren't working now even though I updated everything. But I guess I have nothing else to lose, so I'll try this before the disc. I'll keep you updated on how it goes :)

I tried it, and everything is wonderful. My features weren't working well because Gateway indicated on their website the wrong driver to download. Shame on them. Through some research I found the right one and all's well. I'm extremely glad I didn't resort to buying that disc in the end. A million thanks!!! :D
