How to get my website to wrap correctly?

Okay, so my problem is that word-wrap / autofit does not seem to work very well on my site. Things start to overlap and such. Many things are bigger than I want them, others smaller. The problem is that ultimately the tables on my site are not doing what I want - which is to auto-fit to the texts inside them at any resolution. But they are not doing this, which is causing my site to not be as elastic as it need to be.

Any solutions?

Have you tried using divs instead of tables?

I've just started doing a HTML5 course at my TAFE.
Apparently the new approved method of laying out web pages is to use divs.

Even so, I don't think that you can make layouts work at any resolution.
You need to decide on a minimum width and specify it in the code (css).

I do understand that it won't work at ALL resolutions (unless it was Java based or something, I think), I don't expect it to work at 800x600 or something, but even more standard res aren't good for my site. Much anything below my 1920 x 1080 sucks.

I'm not sure if I have the know-how to work with phpBB to get this done. I can edit the site using CSS and edit things like descriptions of forums etc, but the site is controlled via a CP and therefore not everything is open to editing.

If there's any experienced Admins that would like to join the staff of a gaming / help forum and help work these things out it would be appreciated

Who is your website provider? I've had 2 websites, one by Microsoft and my current one by Go Daddy, and when designing them, I was on the phone with their tech support team frequently, to solve exactly those kinds of problems. Does your provider have phone access to their tech support or design team or customer service? If so, they can help you tremendously. I had all of my design issues + problems solved that way.

Also, I really like the "System Specs" drop down menu here. Would like to have on on my own site.

Considering the nature of how this site works though, my guess is that this is a MyBB board? Would like to see a working version of this in mine, though it's running phpBB 3.
