how to get rid of grey stripe

hello, every time i turn on my computer i see this grey stripe and wonder if it mean that something is wrong. so what do you guys think, is this ok or is it a bad thing? i created a picture so you can see what i mean. its only flashing for like half a second

And for how long has this been happening?

since last time i reinstalled windows i think, 2-3 weeks or so. the only issue i know is hickups/small lag when i play games or watch a movie ..

Check your graphics and other drivers. If that doesn't work, then it could be that something got corrupted during the windows installation, and you might have to repair/re-install it.

all drivers up to date, and i have done a fresh install of windows twice =) so it must be something else?

Do you have another monitor you could hook up to your pc to see if the monitor is faulty ?

Or hook your monitor to another pc.

Uninstall your video drivers, reboot the pc, let windows install the drivers.
