Hello! I have two computers and a recently bought smartphone. One is PC running win 64 and other is a laptop running win 32 bit. The smartphone has the latest android update and ES FIle explorer app installed. 64-bit pc doesn't have any user password or shared folders but can access wirelessly and over CABLE to a shared folder in the laptop which does have a password and C: drive shared with full permissions set to everyone. Now, as it has a password, whenever I try to access from 64bit PC it obviously asks for it, but none of this happens when I access from my smartphone via ES FILE Explorer, it goes through and never a password request is prompted. Do you know by any chance why does this happen and how can I be sure that no other android with this or any app can access my shared folder freely? I thought there might be a way to set permissions to specific users but I wouldn't know how to add only my other two devices and make sure no other device can access my shared folders. Thanks!

On Win64 machine, when you first browse to laptop and asked for credentials, there should be a checkbox to "remember" it.

Is that checked?

ES File Explorer is nasty in the sense that it automatically saves passwords without asking the user. When connecting to the share it will ask for a user/password along with server address and folder.
If you change the password in the laptop, does it start getting "access denied" errors?
