How to improve Windows Experience Index Number

My Windows Experience Index is 3.4 for Gaming Graphics and 4.1 for Graphics. My computer is a Toshiba Laptop A505-S6980 and I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit for my operating system. What could I do to improve the ratings in these two categories to get the most out of my computer.

Get a new graphic card.

With a laptop, you are probably up a creek. There are a few models from a few manufacturers which allow you to upgrade the graphics, but not many.

It won't improve the graphics scores, but a RAM upgrade and an SSD would definitely pep things up. Expensive on a laptop, though...

If the laptop does what you want it to do, forget the WEI. Graphics is by it's nature a weak component in laptops. Reason is the heat that powerful graphics cards produce and the amount of power they need. That is just incompatible with the tight quarters in a laptop.

Thanks for the responses. It sounds like its best to just settle for what I already have. Appreciate the feedback, though.

If that onboard video card doesn't have dedicated memory, you may be able to adjust how much of your system RAM it uses. It will be adjusted by a BIOS setting. It's a trade off though as it will subtract from your available system memory. If you have lots of RAM onboard it may be worth increasing it if its not already set at the max amount. Whether it ups your WEI score is another matter though.
