How to install updates that do not require SSE2 ?

Hello guys, as you can see on my title, I have some problems trying to install some updates on an old computer that I own.


The computer has these specs:
AMD Athlon XP 1.25GHz processor.
1,5Gb of RAM.
Ati Radeon 9250.


The problem that I have is that when I'm installing the updates from Windows Update, when I restart the computer, suddenly the computer doesn't boot anymore, because there's an update that requires SSE2 instructions that unfortunately my computer doesn't have.

At least I can install updates until those one who are from February 2018 that looks like they require SSE2 instructions.



Now my question is, how can I install just the updates that don't require SSE2 ? or how can I install the updates until February of 2018 ?



I would like to still using Windows 7 on this machine and still having the machine, so please don't tell me to install Windows XP or buy a new computer.

Hello R6exe

If you were to turn off Automatic Updating (if you have not done so already) then no updates will be installed.

If you Hide individual Updates in Windows Update, then those individual Updates will not be installed.

See if you can find the feb 2018 simplix updatepack.

I managed to find may 2017 UpdatePack7R2-17.5.15.exe for another poster. Maybe that will suit you

You would use a torrent client. e.g. utorrent.

FILE >add torrent from url



Paste in the magnet link






it will find the peers and start downloading while showing you pretty progress pictures like this





some torrent clients link to your browser so when you click a torrent link in the browser, the client opens up.

regular desktop torrent client version should be fine, no need for pro. It a tiny little program about 2mb
