How to Install Win 7 64bit on Toshiba Satelite C70D

If I wipe the Disk clean using DFSee, would I then be able to install Windows 7 64 bit on the Toshiba Drive?
Or would buying a new HDD be a better way to go?

I would buy a SSD and a USB HDD case. Replace the HDD with the SSD and then you're free to try Win 7.
If you find out that you can't install win 7, you can clone the HDD on it.

It won't matter whether you wipe the drive or not. If you use the OEM Windows disk, it will wipe the drive as part of the install process.

Buying a new hard drive has two benefits:

1. Store the old hdd in a safe place; it has become a full backup of the system.
2. A new drive will be bigger and faster than the old one, and the failure clock will be reset to zero by installing a new drive. An SSD will be even faster than a mechanical hdd; you should consider that option.
