how to make my command prompt brighter in my windows 7 64 bit

Him, i find both black letters in browser and explorer as well as while letters in command prompt are somewhat dull in nature .
i want to make it brighter to easy read in both command prompts and explorer
Would you suggest ideas.
if i choose dark mode in edge browser, the command prompt turns to little blue

If you goto the properties in cmd you can change size font txt colour background colour you have to do normal and admin

Hi, I did, should I select default. The brightness is not known to me. Will you give clue. It is somewhat dull both white in cmd and black in explorer and in browsing. Win 7 64 bit.

Rather than change the actual colour of the prompts and /or background you may get better results from adjust in the output from the screen/Graphics chip. There should be adjustments in the control fro the graphics card and also on the actual monitor.

Although I cannot give specific instructions in your your case, check the user guide for tour graphics card and your monitor,

I would suggest you look at the contrast levels between light and dark, (this is an adjustment between shades of grey but also affects the difference between light and dark colours) There is a built in basic setup routine in the settings in windows to adjust the monitor, this is part of the Display properties - Colour management. Just follow the instructions on the screen, this will tune the output to you and how your eyes see the screen.

You can't just the brightness of the command prompt. Only the background and font colors.

Hi, bARMan, yes you are correct.
i donwloaded a desktop lighter software and it just gives the brightness adjustments . I downloaded slided and then checked the brightness. it is now ok to read it quick and , when i slide opposite, the letter becomes dull.

All readability issues are based in the contrast level between The "paper" that is usually a light colour or white, and the "Text" that is usually a dark colour, or Black, (a lot of people now find it easier to use a "Dark" Theme where the light and dark are reversed - Most internet browsers have an option to use a dark theme and they are available for the operating system, they are standard on Windows 10 but an addon for Windows 7 although there are basic display options available within the OS)

There is a major issue in improving the readability of web pages - this is the fact that every page designer has their own opinion as to what is acceptable for text and background colours, some I think must has issues with colour blindness as some are unreadable due to bad colour choices in addition fancy font styles are not a good readable option - you can be reading a page well and then a link takes you to a page where red text in script form is on a purple page and nothing is readable

All you can do is to fine tune the operating system controls as I stated before and try to avoid some of the bad pages on the net
