Solved How to make OneNote stop appearing in Startup folder?

Just installed Office 2013, Home & Business.

If I open OneNote, the "Send to OneNote tool" shortcut appears in my taskbar, notification center and startup folder. How can I stop this?

This is the Send to OneNote tool that's appearing in all those places not OneNote itself.

Open OneNote & select File, then Options, then Display & untick Place Icon in Taskbar. See attached screen shot. Hope this is what you are looking for. Restart the computer after making the change.



Click Start button then All Programs, scroll down to StartUp, click on it & Delete OneNote.

Open Control Panel & select Notification Area Icons then locate OneNote & under Behaviour select Hide Icons & Notifications

I unchecked that box yesterday and the shortcuts kept showing up.
I unchecked that box today and the shortcuts no longer show up
Buggy software perhaps? Perhaps a reboot, which I didn't do
didn't do a reboot today either, it just works

Now when I open OneNote, the tool doesn't show up at all
