how to networking between my 2 computers ?

I tried to read the tutorials from this forum regarding networking.
I am too dumb to understand. They are all Greek to me.

Is there a " How-to for Dummies " instructions for connecting my 2 laptop computers ?
Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit SP2
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

They are both wireless enabled, but because my Vista computer battery refuses to charge, it is always plugged in. ( $124 for a battery replacement ? No way. )
In fact both my laptops are plugged in all the time. ( don't laugh ).

ISP is Bell.net.

Do you have both computers on the internet at the same time? If so, how?

Assuming no the simplest way is to buy a wireless router. You hook up your modem to the router and the Vista laptop to the router via ethernet cable. The Win 7 computer connects wirelessly.

You can then set up a Homegroup with the two computers.

Which modem did Bell supply you with? Most of what they provide now a days are router/modem combos.

There are tutorials for this. Setting up a Workgroup with the appropriate permissions is about all it takes. You don't want to set up a Homegroup in a mixed Op system network.
