Hello,

I would really appreciate your help with this. Im a bit of a newbie so bear with me. I ran the SFC scannow and received my log file (It's attached), but I cant read what exactly is wrong with my system.

The reason I ran the SFC Scan is because when Im on the internet and there are 2 or more tabs open which are running videos my whole system will freeze.
I cant move the mouse cursor or anything else. It freezes and the audio will lag. The freeze lasts anywhere between 1 - 3 Minutes (Usually 1 Min).
Sometimes it occurs when theres only one tab open running a video, but it usually takes 2 or more videos open at the same time.

Sometimes, after my system un-freezes I will get the message: " Display Driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows 7 (R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered ". I get that message about one out of every four times the freeze happens. I have the Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family and I have the most updated driver (Version 8.15.10.1892)
Ive had this laptop for almost 2 years (It came with Win7, btw) but this problem started about 6 months ago.

The Log File is attached

-Thank you in advance for your help, LARS44

Have you made any recent changes on the computer?

1.Is Windows up to date?

2.I would suggest you to refer the article below

NB. This link also applies for windows 7:

How to analyze the log file entries that the Microsoft Windows Resource Checker (SFC.exe) program generates in Windows Vista

3.This may be relevant.

Please read the below carefully.{ with thanks to sygnus21}

-a- Overclocking – If your system is over clocked, chances are that you card is as well. Or, you may be simply overclocking the card by itself. Either way, back off and see what happens.

-b- Overheating – The card could simply be overheating from a faulty or low running fan, to the thermo past on the heat sink wearing out or being inadequate for the job. Inspect the video card and insure everything is in good working order and that there are no loose parts.

-c- Case Cooling – If your case is small and cramped or has inadequate ventilation or fans, well, not only will the case get hot, but so will the components inside, including the CPU and GPU, which puts out enough heat on their own!!! Plus overclocking also causes heat!!! Something to think about.

-d- Power supply - Many of today's GPU's require at least a 450 watt power supply. Is your the power supply adequate for the job? Check with the card manufacture. Also, If the card requires a power connection (4-pin connector) double check to make sure it's connected

It looks like, in the logs, there were some files moved from the PendingRenames cache to WinSxS, but nothing that would have affected what you are doing (mostly gadgets and theme files, it would seem, which is pretty normal in my experience when nothing is wrong).

The next question is, what browser are we talking about, and what types of videos (flash, silverlight, webm, etc)?

Thanks JMH and CLUBERTI for your quick reply.

My Windows 7 is up to date, and

Im using IE9 as my browser. I even tried to go back to IE8 a couple of days ago and the freezes became much much worse than in IE9.

I also tried Chrome and the same thing occurred. I havent tried FireFox yet, Im gonna try it later.

Like I said before, the freezes started happening about 6 months ago, so I dont remember what changed during that time. But I never changed anything serious, I do know that.

I assumed they were Flash Videos that I was viewing, but how can I tell the difference between Flash, & Silverlight, Webm.....

For example: If I run a video from ESPN.com on one tab and a video from YouTube on another tab, the freeze will occur most of the time. Do they use Flash?

-Thanks Again, LARS44

* Did your computer come preloaded with Anti Virus Software?

If so what was it & how did you remove it?

*List all the Security software you have ever had installed & currently have now on your computer please.

* Browser add ons can create problems.

Check how many you have on your various browsers.
Is each & every one really needed?

Hello ZIGZAG3143 & JMH,

Ive attached the Event Viewer Log.

I already ran MalwareBytes and everything is OK.
My Anti-Virus is Avast Internet Security and they say everything is OK too.

Also about 3 weeks ago I installed Iobit Advanced System Care Pro, because I thought this might help. But then I UN-Installed it because it didnt solve my problem AND I noticed that when I start-up my computer it now takes much longer than it used to Start-Up.

My start-up still takes longer even after I UN-Installed the Iobit Advanced System Care, but it didnt help or worsen the freezes one way or the other. ive noticed many people say dont install registry cleaners SO I wont do that again.

But prior to installing the MalwareBytes and Iobit Advanced System Care 3 weeks ago, the only security software I ever had was my Avast Anti-Virus.

Thanks ZIGZAG and JMH for your help, LARS44

A gentle reminder....

Current accepted wisdom with Win 7 is to NOT use a cleaner.

If you ever think your Registry needs to be cleaned, repaired, boosted, tuned-up, cured, tweaked, fixed, or optimized it shouldn't.

In other words, injudicious use of "Registry cleaners" CAN & DOES cause problems.

Hi ZIGZAG3143,

OK, so I should remove ROXIO , but what should I do about the second problem???

Under Program & Features I found Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 LJ, Im going to delete it (Even tho I never once used it)

But what should I do about MSSQL$DDNI ???

I think that's probably whats causing my computer to take longer to start-up.
If the date of 01/27/12 is correct thats about the time the long start-up began.

Where can I find it???

By the way, did u find anything in the Error Log that u think can help me about the video freezing and lagging probelm ???

-Thank You, LARS44

Get rid of Roxio and google " MSSQL$DDNI" to find what app it belongs to the either remove or update it.

It looks like MSSQL$DDNI has something to do with Microsoft SQL Server.

Ive heard of Microsoft SQL Server but I dont know what it does. Do u know?

I tried to find that file but i couldnt.
I might be wrong but I think the error in Event log is popping up because i dont have that MSSQL$DDNI file but I should.

Anything in the Error Log about the video freezes??

Anything in the Error Log about the video freezes??

- Thanks, LARS44

You can do your own troubleshooting re your question above.
As I said in an earlier post...

* Have you checked in Event Viewer?
Type eventvwr in search.
Go to the Windows Logs > Application in the left hand column.
Note anything in red that relates to the problem.
Please record the event ID, and the Source Code and tell us what they are.

In other words after a freeze, check to see what is recorded regarding it.
