I ran sfc /scannow and it said I had a bad perfproc.dll file and it could not be repaired. I downloaded a good copy of the perfproc .dll file from another win7 PC. When I tried to copy it back to my PC win 7 would not allow me to paste it in the system32 folder. The system said the file was ether open or in use by another program. My PC is a dual boot system with XP-Pro installed in another partition. I booted up XP and tried to copy the perfproc into the win 7 partition but got the same message. I then booted up using a BART Boot CD and tried to copy the perfproc file into the win 7 disc and got the same error message. Does anybody have any idea how I can replace the bad perfproc.dll file in the win 7 partition?
