Solved How to restore Back Up & Restore in the Control Panel?

When I go to the Control Panel to bring up Backup & Restore, all I get now is basically a blank screen, as illustrated in the screen shot included.

I don't know if this may have contributed to this dilemma or not, but I recently added a new SSD on which Windows 7 has been installed. Backup & Restore was working fine after these changes. I was able to schedule backups and set the file location to an internal hard drive I now use exclusively for all backups. It did perform one back up two weeks ago, shortly after I first booted from the SSD. But the next two scheduled weekly backups were not performed. Sometime after that initial back up the program disappeared and became what is seen in the screen shot. (Though the words "Back up or restore your files" appear in blue type, they are not a clickable link.) Can anyone tell me how to restore Backup & Restore?

In the Start / Run dialog (WinKey-R) type services.msc and press Enter. Look for the "Windows Backup" service. Is it set to manual start?

Thank you, Paul. That seemed to do it. It was listed as disabled. I had to fish around in the properties a bit and reset it to Automatic, which seemed to restore it in the Control Panel. I'm now running a backup from it.

Thank you very much!

Cool. Glad that worked. BTW, Manual seems to be the default setting, and probably would do the job with minimal overhead.
