How to rid setup applications of any viruses

I wanted to install a program onto my computer, but I ran VirusTotal - a free virus checking site on chrome - on the setup application to make sure of an malaware. When the results came in, they weren't pretty. Are their any programs that can rid setup applications of any viruses?

It is very unlikely that you will be able to remove the virus from this program. I wouldn't take a chance on it. I'm guessing that it is a free program. But although you didn't pay any money up front for this program, you will pay heavily if you install the program.

Was it a virus or bundled install with other software often free stuff has stuff with it to help pay for their work

According to VirusTotal, viruses were detected. I assume it takes mad programming skills to get the results I want? For now, the free program will never see access to my start menu till I can extract all the #### from it. If only there were a program where I could press one button, and viruses go bye bye. My immature mind can only take me so far.

You could try extracting the contents from the .exe with Uniextractor, but it's not guaranteed that will work. There's this too. Request Rejected

Which AVs on Virus Total reported virus. If it's one or more the obscure ones it's probably a false positive. If one or more of the major ones, it's probably infected.

It would not be good to upload a virus-laden program to this site.
