How to run Windows 8 like windows 7?

If you are mainly concerned with the old Start Menu, replacements are out there. But if you really like Windows Seven Glass, you can't get there from here. Windows 8 even with custom themes can't hold a candle to W7.
I'm running W8 on a Laptop. Seems to run fine. And with Pin To Taskbar, Pin To Start and FARR launcher I don't have problems running programs. But I do miss the Windows Glass and composition. Especially since I busted my ass to add glass support to some of my programs. Now it's just chucked aside!!! Jeez.

hummer7 does your supplier of the new computer give you a option to have Windows 7 installed instead of Windows 8.
