Hello,

Is it possible to secure a second internal hard drive? I can't add a password, however I can go in to "security" and restrict the hard drive to only one user (admin, which is password secured). If I do this, will it effectively secure my internal hard drive? Is someone, for example, physically removes my second internal hard drive and connects it to a different PC, will it open?

I have windows 7

Thank you

I assume you have just set permission on the drive which is very simply by passed. If you want it to be secure you would have to encrypt it

Yes, I hoped that that it would prevent other PC's from using it if they would physically remove the drive and try to connect it to a different PC. I don't know how to encrypt my hard drive though. Is there extra software I need to utilize?

Its not clear what version of windows your running 7 or 8 but check if you have BitLocker installed that is what is used to encrypt it

Beware. If you have problems on an encrypted disk, you loose everything.
