Hi,I have posted a thread about stereo mixer not working in Windows 7,well it still doesn't.I have tried everything possible (updating drivers and such),I can see it,I have enabled it but there is no sound coming from it,while it works perfectly on vista.I have been working on this issue for a while by installing Windows 7 on a different partition. But today is the day I give up,I really like Windows 7 but I can't use it just because of that minor problem.

While looking for a solution,I have noticed that some people have headphones and speakers as recording device, but I have them in playback section. So I wonder if it is possible to use headphones/speakers as recording devices.Because that would pretty much replace the stereo mixer and I wouldn't have to use Vista anymore.

Thanks.

Hello,

If you right-click in Sound and Show disabled devices, you should see Stereo Mix. If you select that as your default recording device, you should be able to record what the speakers hear.

I have already stated that I have done that, but it is not picking up any sound,I have done anything possible and I don't believe it is possible to solve it.

My current question is "Is it possible to set headphones or speakers as recording device?" I have seen some people with headphones set as recording devices along with stereo mixer.
