Well, in order to share or transfer files some sort of a connection is necessary. There are two types in general - either (i) you connect your two computers via a network (either home network or the internet) or (ii) you connect them directly (e.g. by a USB wire). The only third option is to use a removable media, i.e. a pendrive, but you have already dismissed that. Moreover, you seem to be interested primarily in a wireless solution, which leaves the option (i).

Now, in order to connect via a network, you must establish this network. How do you connect to the internet? Do you have a wireless access point (e.g. a DSL or cable modem/router that provides you with the wireless service)? If so, then just connect both machines to your wireless service and follow the general instructions in our tutorials, such as the one suggested by osholt.

If not, i.e. if you do not have a wireless network set up, then I am afraid it will be hard to transfer your file without wires. A direct connection via Bluetooth or infrared is theoretically possible, but for that you need to have both computers equipped with these capabilities and then you'll have to find an appropriate connection software. I won't be surprised if such thing existed, but nothing comes to mind, the closest I ever came to such a connection was to establish it between two hand-help devices. I've never done it with a desktop, so if that's what you want then maybe someone else will be of more help.

Hi,
Try google the error code '0x80070035' you might find the answer.
I gathered some information that sounds plausible;

Allow printer sharing
Enable network discovery
Allow all networks through firewall and router

But from what am hearing '0x800' is a firewall issue

This is from what I have read, hope this helps :)

Intel Gigabit CT (PCIE NIC) and Thinkpad T61p,
Hopefully, you'll get the network solution to work for you as an immediate solution. I know you dismissed the idea of a pen drive because you don't have one. They are very reasonably priced nowadays so I'd recommend that you get one for future use. They are very handy devices. As an example, here's a 4G thumb drive for $5.99 with $0.99 shipping (USD). Not sure what country you are in but you should be able to find something along those lines.
