How to tell were and email is sent from?

Is there a way to determine where(location) that a user has sent an email. The emails are being received in Gmail and Yahoo. Yahoo header does not seem to indicate a location? How do you bring up the Gmail header and will it help?

In gmail you can click the Reply drop down and click on show original,
Received should give you some information about the servers...
