Solved How to turn HP Laserjet 4000 into wireless printer

My printer, Laserjet 4000, though no longer manufactured, has been a workhorse with only 1 minor problem over the years that I was able to fix myself. It works too well to let go. I would like to print wirelessly, however, my WiFi is from my landlord's router. I've read about wireless print servers, but the details state before use, it needs to connect to the router via Ethernet cable. Is there a way to print wirelessly when access to the router is not available and without having a second pc as a server? Thanks. Jane

You will need a wireless router with built in print server capability. You will need to make the IP address of the router something other than the default gateway as mentioned in step 1 of the first video found below. Just change the last number in the set to something like 79 rather than 1
