How'd you get here Thread

This seems like a topic not yet covered. For me it was soon after I was running windows 7 beta for quite a while and stumbled upon this forum while looking for tweaks to improve the upcoming OS. Let the flaming begin if this has already been covered.

well sorta.. i joined cus the first problem i faced with my new windows 7 was something that i tought was beyond my physics. than thanks to some members i found out i just needed to do is use a restore point. after that the rest is history

I was working with Windows 7 BETA and had dual boot on the PC with Vista 64 being the primary but the PC would not stay running in Vista so I opted to test W7 BETA. 7 BETA worked flawlessly with the exception of 2 drivers and while searching out drivers I happened on to a post by Brink but don't remember where that was but I ended up here and have never left and now have at least 7 PC's migrated over to W7.

I was at my other group and they posted the link to this site.
I am going to be getting Windows 7 Ultimate soon and that is why I joined to get more information and tuts, just in case I get stuck with how something works.

P.S. I have been a Windows XP user since high school in 1998.

Don't you mean Windows 98? Windows XP only went RTM in 2001....

I had just got a copy of Win 7 and wanted to dual boot with XP and Ubuntu. A search lead me here. My irascibility has been tempered, a bit, by the many wonderful folks on these Forums. I'm glad I found y'all; I hope y'all feel the same ...

I ended up here because my monitor went dead... well not dead, like on a shock, sometimes it'd turn on, sometimes it wouldn't... so the guys here helped me, and now i'm a regular user, sometimes i have questions, sometimes i answer other people's questions.. and it's a great community.. lots of great guys, new people, i'm latin american so, being surrounded with different people in a forum that english is its main language, helps me with my english, which is actually my 2nd language (spanish is my native one) so, anyways, this is now a website that's on my daily internet browsing

Somewhere I saw a link about a group testers that were at a site called SevenForums.

I think I was showing interest in Windows 7 and had a beta at the time. The reason I joined was I wanted to learn more about it.
