HP 6700 printer says it's out of paper but it isn't.

It tries to pick up paper but after about 5 seconds of trying to pick up
paper the "out of paper" message appears. Always.

We cleaned the roller several times.
We turned printer off and on by unplugging it.

Are you sure there isn't too much paper in the tray and the paper and guides are positioned correctly?

Try checking the quality and the age of the paper, that the printer is using. If in doubt add about 5 new sheets of paper ontop of the paper already loaded on the tray.

Yes, I'm sure. I checked both too much paper and paper guides.

I did what you suggested. It didn't help.

There will be a micro switch that tells it no paper so it's either faulty or needs cleaning
