hp c4280 and a logitech usb hub problem

i have a hp c4280 printer (it is an all in one printer with copier and scanner)
he works fine on the usb port but if i want to connect the printer tru a usb hub like this Logitech 4-Port USB Hub for Notebooks [LGT939-000063] - S$27.00 : Online Shop Singapore, Singapore, Shop Online!
the scanner of the printer dosen"t work
any ideas?

I think you will need a USB hub with an external power supply to it. Scanner probably demands more power, and it is not getting it through an unpowered hub.

i don"t think this the problem becouse i let only the printer in the usb hub and the result is the same , more than that if i want to print something it works only if i wand to scan something i get the folow error

I have same issue with my printer (Epson Stylus Color) and a ATEN USB Hub SH-275. If I connect the printer directly to the laptop it works fine, but if I connect it using the USB-HUB only prints the first 1/3 part of the first page and finish with an error.
I try to connect the power supply and I have the same issue.
I have open a service request with Epson and Aten. I´ll post any solution if I´ll have it.
I saw in internet a lot of problem using USB-HUB and Windows 7, then I think is a bug with Windows 7.
