I have been getting a couple of crashes over this month with my HP laptop, and I am wondering what is wrong with it. From the blue screen, I always seem to see:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

That is all I can remember before it restarts.

I have also included the zip file necessary for diagnosis: View attachment 207997

My Windows 7 is Home Premium x64, and is the original OS. Though, I'm not sure if it's either OEM or Full Retail. What I do know is that it was purchased from a local PC World store.

Well, I have learned about stdriver64.sys being a problem recently. So I found out that NCH software was being the culprit, and immediately uninstalled it. This has probably decreased the amount of blue screens I've been getting, related to NCH.

And as for Symantec, I am quite shy to going as far as uninstalling that as well. But I may as well test MSE to see if it may be necessary to replace Norton 360 v6.0. Though, I do feel like Security>Performance in this situation.

MSE is more of a replacement to see if the crashes stop or if Norton was masking the true cause of the crashes. Often, Norton 360 is blamed for crashes when the crashes are actually network related or memory related but occur during a network process. If you are still getting crashes, replace Norton with MSE for testing purposes. Use the Norton removal tool to remove the software.

If you are deadset in using Norton 360 in the future, I would recommend avoiding the registry cleaning feature it contains.
